Melania Trump, the long suffering wife of Donald Trump, campaigned for her husband for the first time since the Republican National Convention, where she gave a speech that was plagiarized from Michelle Obama.
“What a wonderful welcome here in Pennsylvania,” Melania said. “It has been more than 500 days since my husband, Donald Trump, announced he would run for president of the United States. I remember that day vividly, surrounded by our families.”
Melania talked about being an immigrant:
“I’m an immigrant, and let me tell you that no one values the freedom and independence of America more than me. Love for this country is something we immediately shared when I met Donald. He loves this county and knows how to get things done — not just talk.”
Then she spoke about what she would do as First Lady, which would be to COMBAT BULLYING.
Melania said, “I want my little boy to know that he’s blessed to be born in a country with… constitutional democracy…we need to teach our youth American values. Kindness honesty respect compassion charity understanding cooperation…
She continued, “as we know now social media is a centerpiece of our lives… technology has changed our universe, but like anything that is powerful it can have a bad side… as adults many of us are able to handle bad words… childrens and even teenagers can be fragile… they can be made to feel less in looks and intelligence, our culture has gotten too mean and too rough, especially to children and teenagers…”
“We must treat each other with respect and kindness, even when we disagree,” Trump says.
Which is all fine and good…except her husband is one of the biggest bullies on the planet. He is the definition of an internet troll. He praises the alt-right, and bullies women for their looks. Maybe Melania should fix her own house first?
