Donald Trump has shamed America again by demanding to use the Queen of England’s gold plated carriage during his visit to the U.K. in the fall.
He wants a carriage procession down the Mall—probably another self-aggrandizing move that is sure to annoy U.K. authorities and make American leaders look petty. (As if we need more bad publicity in lieu of all Trump’s other scandals)
Trump wants the gold-plated carriage procession to Buckingham Palace, just for show, just as some ridiculous showing of respect or apology or who the hell knows what. The problem is that Trump’s game is going to be an expensive and unprecedented security operation.
Is this all just another ego-boost, to outdo the security operation needed for Chinese president Xi Jinping in 2015? Does Trump want to set a new record or does he really want to discuss peaceful solutions?
I think we know the answer to that.
Well, we agree on one thing. Trump is probably a much bigger target than Jinping, on account of Agent Orange’s shocking behavior as of late. He’s more like an international terrorist / bad comedian than a true president.
Unlike other world leaders, including Obama who opted for a simple bomb-proof car, Trump’s decision to take a golden coach up the mall by horses brings insane security challenges. Xi Jinping rode the carriage but chose an armor-plated closed carriage, not the Queen’s open and gold-plated carriage.
This is putting an enormous strain on British security team resources, considering that Trump is going to have thousands of protesters, and yet he won’t be adequately protected. U.K. Security is going to have to invent ways to protect this fool, since the gold carriage is not properly protected against grenades, high-powered ammunition and so on.
Here’s the real kicker: so far, almost two million Britons have signed a petition demanding Trump’s visit be canceled, since it is sure to “cause embarrassment to Her Majesty the Queen.”
We totally understand!
