Comedian Kathy Griffin recently released a photo of her hold a bloody mask of Trump’s head joking she beheaded the president.
The comedian admitted the joke was of bad taste and issued an apology after receiving heavy flak for the photo. Griffin was consequently fired form CNN.
Griffin issued her apology via a half-minute video on Twitter where she said, “I sincerely apologize,”…“I’m a comic. I crossed the line – I move the line and then I cross it. I went way too far. The image is too disturbing. I understand how it offends people, it wasn’t funny, I get it,” she said.
The photo was disgusting, no doubt. And there is no excuse for that. That said, this isn’t a problem on the left only. A reporter at today’s press gaggle pointed that out, and referenced the time Ted Nugent said Obama should be killed, and Hillary Clinton should be hanged.
During a White House briefing, Press Secretary Sean Spicer was asked about his thoughts on Ted Nugent’s statements of “assassinating Barack Obama” and “Hanging” Hillary Clinton. In hypocrisy Spicer completely avoided the question.
